APHE members receive a member's rate at our national conference, discounts on materials, a member-only online discussion community, and the access to our resource library. Who is a Humane Educator?
A humane educator is anyone who shares our mission and vision and is committed to promoting humane attitudes toward people, animals and the environment. This includes, but is not limited to those interested or involved in:
- animal welfare
- animal rights
- animal behavior
- environmental education
- character education
- cultural studies
- social justice
- K-12 education
- any combination of the above
